Who we are
Launchfyi is the trading name of Alexander Andrews, Old Town Hall, 30 Tweedy Road, Bromley, BR1 3FE, United Kingdom. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration number ZC234562). For anything about your data, email alex@launch.fyi.
What we collect, and why
- When you send a brief: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and what you write. We use them to reply to you about your project. An AI service reads your brief when you send it, to suggest the best next step and summarise it for Alex. Your brief isn't used to train AI, and a person reads every brief.
- When you book a call: your name, email address, mobile number, the time you choose and anything you tell us about the call. We use them to set up the call and send you the invite.
- To check it's really you: we email you a code before a brief or booking goes through.
- To keep out spam: we note your IP address and the country you're connecting from, and our bot protection checks the browser you use when you send a form. We only take on work in Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand at the moment, so we use your phone number's country, or where you're connecting from, to check that.
Our legal basis is taking steps you've asked for before a possible contract (replying to your brief, arranging the call), and our legitimate interest in keeping the forms free of spam and abuse.
You don't have to give us any of this, but we can't reply or book a call without your name and email (and, for a call, your mobile number).
Who we share it with
Only the providers that run the site and its forms for us, and only so they can do that: our website host, the service that stores briefs and bookings, our email delivery provider, our calendar provider and our video-call provider, and the AI service that reads briefs. If you'd like to know exactly who they are, ask us.
Some of them are based in, or may process data in, the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the UK's adequacy arrangements or standard contractual clauses. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Email codes are deleted after a day. Briefs and booking details are deleted two years after you send them. If you become a client, we keep what we need for the work and for our accounts for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or stop using it, and you can ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere. Email alex@launch.fyi. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies
We don't use cookies for tracking or advertising. Your browser remembers whether you picked light or dark mode, and that stays on your device.
